At the conclusion of this intensive and effective course, a student is fully prepared to take the SAT/PSAT or ACT exam.
The ultimate goal of the course is to raise test scores to their maximum level. Using a carefully developed curriculum, Dr. Brewington and her associates emphasize that standardized college admission exams actually test basic concepts. The key to answering an SAT or ACT question successfully is figuring out what underlying concept is relevant and applying it. The goal of each tutoring session is to help students recognize the types of reoccurring questions and how to answer them, while building an overall test-taking plan and strategy.
Each session is customized to address the strengths and weaknesses of the individual test taker. This very important element of the preparation course means that the needs of each student dictate the course structure, resulting in better results more quickly.
